solid mahogany sewing cabinet .....

Wanted: One Victorian Era silverplate teapot
This is a small collection of silverplate items, generally from the 1880-1900 period. Many of the pieces shown are family heirlooms. Since they are all silverplate, the value of these pieces isn't high, but I would like to find a teapot to match the coffeepot in the center of the photo. The coffee pot is by Wilcox Silver, a predecessor of International Silver. The sugar & creamer and waste cup match the coffee pot and butter dish quite well, but were by an unrecognized manufacturer (per the Encyclopaedia of American Silver Manufacturers). That company's silver mark was a lion in profile within a circle. The butter dish (on the left) was by Empire. In the left front of the setting is a French silverplate teapot of similar age, but we expect it is smaller in size than the proper teapot to match the coffeepot. The pattern on these pieces, particularly the coffeepot, involves pressed / engraved leaves, with gadrooning around the rim & ring foot, and a hinged lid. These pieces generally were made either in Connecticut or downstate NY.

Charlie bought me a nice new sewing machine in 2002 (15 years of hinting finally paid off!!), and I've been busy learning a wider variety of sewing projects using that. I've tackled several quilting projects, which is a new interest.  And I'm making lots of receiver blankets for newborns I help deliver or care for.  He has his workshop, and I have my hobby time.  He was nice enough to rebuild my old sewing cabinet to accommodate the new machine and larger sewing projects, but he just didn't like it.  So, he made me an "all-new" cabinet that has more storage.  The new cabinet was built with the mahogany salvaged from my grandmother's / our old dining room table (which was coming apart and couldn't be easily repaired).  The Bernina machine is a big improvement over the old Singer, and a custom made sewing center -- complete with my monogram in hand-formed inlaid brass! -- is an even bigger improvement.  But then, he owed it to me, don't you think?

I enjoy counted cross-stitch and sewing, and I'm now learning to make quilts.  I don't have nearly enough time to pursue these interests as much as I would like.  There are, however, three cross-stitch patterns I've lost over the years and would like to find once again (see below).

I'd really like to find the patterns for the two cross-stitch pieces shown to the right, and for one other pattern. The pattern for the larger work "just disappeared" and I have no idea who designed it or what company sold it. The baby announcement pattern is one of a pair that used to be sold by Sunset (now Dimension / Sunset), and I would like to find those again too.  The third one is a pattern called "Life Treasures", put out originally by Kohl-Lection Inc. / Kooler Design Studio.  If you know of a source for any of these three, please email me at mjd522@mindspring.com?
